Awesome staff!! 3 days before eclipse weekend and all sold out of freezers...staff was able to sell me one and sabe the day. Thanks Lowe's...seems as if you guys never fail me. Appreciate your care and concerns for customers.
My last trip here was a prime example of why big box stores are losing out to Amazon. I SPECIFICALLY called Lowe's 800 main number to verify they price match Amazon on a DeWalt kit. They said yes as long as it's sold and shipped by Amazon and this was. So, I stopped in to get it. First off, it seems these kits are not available on floor level likely to avoid theft which is understandable. When I went to the register to ask them to pull one for me, the person at the register didn't seem to know and called someone who presumably should know, a department manager or someone that works in that department. They said no it's there, you can grab it. I then checked all of the display boxes for all of the kits and every single one of them, like the one I wanted, was empty. They store none of them at level where a customer can get them, again, understandable but baffling as to how or why none of their employees, even the person called from the register that presumably should have known, apparently had no idea. Finally (took a while) found someone that was able to actually pull one from up above. I took it back to the register for a $35 price match with Amazon and three different employees insisted they do not price match Amazon even though their corporate 800 number specifically said that they do.
Got help quickly with my order in flooring. He answered all my questions. Discussed other options. Check out quick and helpful also.
There's a reason big box stores are losing out to Amazon, their left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing and they have no problem losing a customer permanently over a $35 price match and their employees don't see the bigger picture that many people and many more everyday are giving up on even bothering with big box stores because of experiences like this and going straight to Amazon instead like I will be doing in the future, at least with Lowe's. Others, like Best Buy and Home Depot, at least in my area, seem to want to retain customers unlike Lowe's. It's no wonder this Lowe's parking lot is always empty.
Ordered a dishwasher and it included free delivery. A couple of days after the order was placed, I got a call from an employee at the local Lowe's letting me know that although the dishwasher is at the store, it will not be delivered to my home for another month. I live less than three miles from this store and all they need to do is drop off the dishwasher - no installation. The lack of customer service coupled with a month long wait for an item that is IN STOCK is absolutely unacceptable. I will never buy anything from Lowe's ever again.
Over the years I have continually tried to support local stores even if they are big box stores simply if nothing else for the sake of jobs and employment where I live, but continually running into stupidity like this is quickly getting even me to turn 100% online rather than deal with and have my time wasted by morons.
Asked for someone to help. Was told they would be over. They never came. I went back later because home depot did not have what i needed. I talked to a great helpful person. After i decided to order something the nice lady showed me another person told me you guys did not have it. I had seen it on the nice ladies screen. I gave up and bought nothing but tape
